Hot! Hot! Hot!
Today was a scorcher plus the humidity felt like you were in a tropical paradise but cheaper. Took Mason and Daniela outside while Abbie slept to try and get the garden finished and it was scorching by 8 am. No such luck, I do miss the days when you could start a task and actually finish it... In the same week:) I was also trying to pack for our little weekend get away which was brutal I'd put something on the bags, usually Daniela would pull it out, then she decided to use the suitcase as a bed and convinced Mason to join her (didn't take a lot of convincing) the dishes are piling up the living room is a disaster, Abbie wants to be held and I'm getting frustrated with the lack of time and co-operation my 3 little ones provide. Plus I wouldn't be so crabby but my back is still so sore, and the fact that Alin and I haven't had any alone time forever. We're exhausted, tired and just seems like we haven't been on a date in forever:( Here's hoping our little trip will provide some attention to that matter. Alin ordered pizza and we ate it on the deck then the kids rode there bikes and splashed around in the water table...and then the clothes started coming off. Alin played with them while I came into the house to do more WORK.

Is it really always going to be like this?!?
May 30,2013 Today was one of those days where I thought I was in a Dr. Jekyll and Hyde movie. My back has been super SORE which feels like a massive understatement. Enough that I bawled all last night, when I bend down or turn or try to get into vehicles or pick babies up, it feels like someone is grabbing the nerves giving them a good squeeze and then a kick in the pants. It's amazing how BAD it hurts, I would go through child birth again and again instead of this pain...anyhow add that into the mix with kiddos who are being less than angelic and you have a roller coaster ride of a day.
In the morning they play well together for about the first 1/2 hr while I'm getting breakfast ready( I always change their little bottoms first, then time for breakfast usually about this time one or more has had their morning constitutional and round 2 of diaper changing begins. So today while I'm changing Abbie which takes all of 2 min the other 2 yahoos have thrown their breakfast all over the floor as I came out I could feel tears building up because they know what their doing is wrong and they do it anyway, plus having a back that makes even the easiest chore hard I was frustrated (Alin heard the commotion and came out and helped, which I was super thankful for) then breaking up fights and some dosies and a baby that wants to be held and is not content to play on her own or be on her tummy or back made for a long morning. Finally at 11:30 I decided we should go to the farm. Some good times some meltdowns. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Needless to say its 8:30 and I'm praying for sleeping babies.
Yep that's Miss D going to climb the bleachers
Playing...drinking water which is apparently way better than the water I pack around daily for them
And let's finish with this little gem shall we...

Pro Nursing in this family...
The other day Daniela plopped down in her spider man chair took her token Barbie, looked at me and said "momma milk" then proceeded to nurse her barbie. Fast forward 2 days later and were playing in the bedroom dumping all the stuffed animals to the floor when I look into the toy chest and mason looks up at me and tells me " baby hungry"and begins to feed the doll. Glad to see were raising pro active nursing kids:)

I need them and they need me!
So today started with me wanting to eat my young:). They were wild and crazy and into everything you can imagine with little Miss Abbie wanting to be held 24/7. Throw in a dinner to be made for a friend who just had a baby and an appointment at the house for me and my sore body and you have chaos in my mind. I got frustrated quicker and seemed to lose my patience faster today with the 3 wild ones, and then.... I decided bag this and we went outside and I gave them a treat(raisins) they sat on the stairs while I tried to clean out the reeds near the pond and then I looked at them and thought that's it to the back yard we go to play.
Put Abbie on the grass took her sweater and socks off, set her on a blanket and let her touch the grass for the first time, run it through her chubby little fingers and just as quickly try and eat it. Daniela already had her shoes, socks and sweater off on route to the backyard, and Mason wanted them off then felt the grass and thought he should put them back on (as he found a little prickle patch). Then it happened I started to think what if something happens to me? Who's going to raise my kids the way I do? Who's going to let them take their shoes off and let them run through the grass, jump in puddles and be adventuresome kids. The answer is no one! I love these little turkeys so much and want the opportunity to raise them, to teach them and have them teach me. You won't understand the depth of this love until you become parents yourself and then you will be amazed at how it takes you by surprise. How things that used to matter won't and that all you want in the world is happy healthy kids. That you won't remember days like these, but I will. I will remember Mason scrambling up the rock climbing part of the play structure (that was built in anticipation of your arrival, where neighbors were wondering if we already had kids. Your dad was just super excited for your arrival) and shouting "I did It". That Daniela will move so fast and climb the stairs in the back that only last summer she couldn't and then she will reach the top of the slide and look down with the sun bouncing of her curly golden hair saying "Momma, Momma" before she slides down. That she follows Mason around and wants to do everything he does. That those smiles of Abbie's can light up a room and she shares them freely, that she like her sister is not content to just sit. She wants to reach, discover and move. That those chubby little toes that hang of the blanket and let the grass tickle them will grow quickly.
I shed some tears today...okay maybe a lot, because of my love for this little family that I have the privilege to be with. Please help me to be the type of mom that they all need. The wife that my husband needs. I love you all. Love your smitten wife and adoring mom xxoo
